Rippling EOR review: what it costs and what Rippling does not tell you

Rippling EOR is quote only: Rippling publishes no employer of record price on its site (checked October 16, 2026). The only figure available is a third-party reference of $499 per employee per month, from Gusto's guide to Rippling pricing (August 2, 2026, pricing as of June 2026), and that comes on top of the Rippling platform fee.

Rippling also publishes no EOR country count, deposit, FX, term or termination terms. The case for it is fit: your foreign hires sit in the same system as your US team.

Rippling EOR is Rippling's employer of record service, which employs workers abroad on your behalf and runs them inside the Rippling HR, payroll and IT platform.

Rippling EOR

Rippling EOR puts foreign employees in the same system as your US staff, devices and apps. That is its whole case. Rippling publishes no EOR price, no country count for EOR, and none of the fee terms we check (deposit, FX, minimum term, termination), and there is no EOR-specific review profile to judge it by.

Rippling's own pages give no EOR price. The only figures come from outside: Gusto's guide to Rippling pricing (updated Aug 2, 2026, pricing as of June 2026) cites Rippling starting references of $499 per employee per month for EOR. Gusto competes with Rippling, so treat that number as a starting point for negotiation, not a quote.

EOR is sold on top of the Rippling platform. Rippling's FAQ says "Rippling plans start at $8 per employee per month, with a monthly base fee", without the base fee amount. Our Rippling pricing breakdown covers the platform and modules in detail.

Source: third-party $499 reference from Gusto's Rippling pricing guide (Aug 2, 2026, pricing as of June 2026). Not a Rippling quote. Yearly figure is monthly x 12.

If the $499 reference holds, Rippling EOR is $100 a month cheaper per employee than Deel or Remote at $599, which is $30,000 a year on 25 people ($100 x 25 x 12). But you also pay for the Rippling platform. Remote states “no base fee,” and Deel’s pricing page shows no separate platform fee for EOR. Add the platform quote before you compare.

Hidden costs and contract terms

None of the fee terms buyers ask about are on Rippling's global or EOR pages (checked October 16, 2026):

  • Deposit: not published.
  • FX markup: not published.
  • Setup or implementation fee: not published.
  • Termination or offboarding fee: not published.
  • Minimum term and notice: not published.

Unpublished does not mean zero. It means you have to ask. Rippling's platform pricing is modular, and Capterra reviewers (Sep 2025 to Aug 2026) say costs climb as you add modules and headcount. Ask for the EOR fee, the platform fee, the deposit and the term on one order form.

Ask Rippling five questions in writing: the EOR fee in your country, the deposit and its refund timing, the FX margin, the contract term and auto-renewal, and what it bills when an EOR employee leaves.

Entity model

Rippling says it offers "Global Payroll via Rippling entities" and "Hire and pay employees globally via Rippling EOR". Its EOR FAQ describes an EOR as working "through its own entity in various jurisdictions". Rippling does not mention partners and publishes no count of owned entities. Compare that with Remote, which claims "100% owned entities" in 90+ countries, or G-P, which says it owns 100+ entities and uses 200+ partnerships.

Ask which legal entity will employ your worker in your country, and whether it is a Rippling company. Our EOR guide explains why that answer matters when payroll or a termination goes wrong.

Country coverage

Rippling's global page claims 185+ countries for global payroll. It publishes no separate EOR country count. Global payroll on your own entity and EOR on Rippling's entity are different services, so 185+ does not tell you where Rippling can be the employer. Ask for the EOR country list.

Support

Rippling says "When you need support, Rippling answers in less than 30 seconds" and promises HR specialists with 10+ years of local experience. Capterra reviewers say only administrators can reach live support, and that complex issues are slow (Capterra, page 6). If your foreign employees need to reach a person, ask how they do that.

Reviews and complaints

No review site has a Rippling EOR profile. Rippling as a whole holds 4.7 out of 5 from 14,535 reviews on G2 and 4.5 from 2,548 on Trustpilot (both seen Oct 16, 2026), and none of the visible Trustpilot reviews mention EOR. Common complaints about Rippling overall, from Capterra:

  • Modular pricing that is hard to budget, with costs that climb with modules and headcount.
  • Slow support on complex issues; only admins reach live support.
  • Setup gaps, such as a client having to register with state agencies itself (May 11, 2026), and an employer health fund contribution shown twice (Dec 29, 2025).

What works

  • Foreign hires in the same HR, payroll, IT and finance system as US staff
  • Says global payroll runs via Rippling entities, with no partner mention
  • Third-party EOR reference of $499 is below Deel and Remote
  • 185+ countries for global payroll

Watch out for

  • No published EOR price, country count or fee terms
  • Platform fee on top of EOR
  • No EOR-specific reviews to judge
  • Live support reported as admin-only

Who Rippling EOR fits, and the alternatives

It fits a company already on Rippling that wants one login and one set of reports for US and foreign staff. If you are on Rippling for US payroll or PEO (see our Rippling PEO review), getting an EOR quote costs you nothing.

Look elsewhere if you are not on Rippling, or you want published terms before talking to sales:

Our verdict

Bottom line: Rippling EOR scores 18/100, the lowest of the EORs we score, because it publishes almost nothing we can score. It makes sense as an add-on for Rippling customers, and the third-party $499 reference is competitive. As a standalone EOR purchase, you are buying blind: no published price, terms or EOR reviews. Get a full quote including the platform fee, then compare it with the published prices of Deel, Remote and Multiplier.
