Editorial policy
Every figure on HRPricing comes from a cited source and carries the date we checked it, with official sources first. This page explains where our facts come from, how we fix mistakes, how we use AI tools and how we stay independent of the providers we compare.

Who writes our pages
Pages are written by the HRPricing editorial team, part of [LLC NAME PLACEHOLDER]. We do not use author names, photos, job titles or credentials, and we do not invent them. We do not test products hands-on, and we do not claim to.
Where our facts come from
- Official sources first. Tax rates, wage bases, thresholds and deadlines come from the IRS, state labor and revenue agencies, and national government agencies for country data. Prices and terms come from the provider's own pages.
- Every figure is dated. Each price, rate and rule shows when we checked it, and the source is listed on the page.
- Conflicts are shown side by side. When two sources disagree, or a provider's own pages disagree, we show both figures and say which one we used. We never average them.
- Third-party estimates are labeled. When a provider does not publish prices, we may show an estimate from a review site, labeled as an estimate with its source and date. Estimates never earn points in our scores.
- Complaints are paraphrased and linked. We describe recurring complaints in our own words and link where we read them. We do not write, quote as our own, or generate reviews or testimonials.
We use labels with legal meaning carefully. We call a provider a CPEO only when it appears on the current IRS list of certified PEOs, and we call a provider licensed only when a state list backs it up.
Dates on our pages
A page's checked date changes only when we recheck its figures. We do not refresh dates to make a page look newer. State payroll tax data is refreshed each January and when a rule changes. Provider prices and the IRS CPEO list are checked every quarter.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help research and draft pages. Every figure is checked against its cited source before a page is indexed, and pages we cannot verify are kept out of search results.
Pages kept out of search results carry a noindex tag until their data is filled in and checked.
Independence from providers
- Providers cannot pay to be included, to get a higher score, or to move up a list.
- Providers do not see or approve our pages before they are published.
- Commissions never change a score, a ranking, or what we say about fees, contracts and complaints. Our affiliate disclosure explains how we make money.
- A provider that wants a score reviewed can send us the page where it publishes the missing fact. We apply the same rules to every provider at the next recheck.
No paid placements
At launch we sell no paid placements, sponsored slots, badges or "featured" spots. If that ever changes, every paid slot will be labeled as paid where it appears, it will stay outside the scored ranking, and this page will explain it.
Corrections
If you find an error, email contact@hrpricing.com with the page and the source that shows the right figure. We check the source. If the error is verified, we fix it and update the reviewed date shown on the page. If we disagree, we reply with our source.
